A man called Martin Cooper has just seen the failure of his seventh marriage thanks to his obsessive devotion to Liverpool FC. His wives, Rosemary, Patricia, Barbara, Rosemary no. 2, Carol, Davina and Tina all eventually got sick of being relegated to second place by Martin. Mr. Cooper, who lives in Cambridge, also named his son (with Davina) with all eleven members of the 1986 first team squad. Fantastic!
At the age of 57, he is also a contender for Radio Five Live`s, Britain`s most obsessive fan. Martin, who is also honorary chairman of the Cambridgeshire Reds, the Liverpool fans group he co-founded 15 years ago, will now be Walking Alone.
