We were invited to submit a painting on the subject of the sun to go into our art teacher's exhibition. One painting each. These were my two choices :
Wasn`t too sure what to do but eventually chose the one with the girl in a bikini.
I`m looking forward to the opening night next Friday.
Just came across this painting by Ronnie Kray on EBAY for £2,500 - Don`t profess to be an expert, but it looks a bit rubbish to me!
This portrait by Tony Brown is on display from today. It is made on a background of newspaper cuttings charting John Lennon`s life. Tony is in the midst of painting 100 portraits of living Merseysiders, who have played an important role in local life, to be ready for 2007 when Liverpool celebrates the 800th anniverary of King John
granting it a Royal Charter. He is also working on a massive canvas to include great people from Merseyside's history.
