Check up at hospital for Dolly `s broken arm

We went for a check up at Alder Hey today for Dolly `s arm. It was quite traumatic as she screamed the place down when they tried to x-ray it (ear piercingly loud). Finally, we got it x-rayed and then the doctor had a look at it. its healing well and we go back in two weeks to get the pins taken out (not in theater but just in the clinic). There will be screams then!. The nurse then took off the tatty sling and put a nice neck collar and foam sling on. Much nicer for her. She also put one on molly so Dolly wouldn`t feel scared. Glad its over cos it was a bit of an ordeal.

Evie breaks her arm

After having the cardiac catheters last week, Evie went back to school yesterday - Monday. But I cant believe what has happened now. This evening after their dinner, the twins went upstairs in my Mum`s house to watch CBeebies on the little television which she has in her bedroom, sitting on her bed. The next thing, Evie comes down crying and holding her arm funny. When she wouldn't stop crying, we decided we`d better get her to the children`s hospital to get checked out in A and E.

 And Yes! She`s broken her arm. I really cant believe it. They`ve let her come home with a sling on, but I`ve got to go back at half ten to get a plaster cast fitted. It's unbelievable. Poor Evie!!
