A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. You will see examples of blogs throughout this letter.
Blogs as we know them today first appeared with the launch of blogger.com in August 1999.
Now take a look at the graph to the right. This shows the growth of blogs over the past 3 years. Notice that the number is DOUBLING every 6 months.
By January 2007 it is predicted that the numbers will pass 100 million!
This means that anyone with Internet access can create and publish online at zero cost and potentially gains an audiences of millions. Type in any subject into Google and chances are at least one blog will appear in the top ten searches (The fact is VERY important for your success, as you will see in a moment.)
Now it doesn’t take a genius to realise that if you can get people visiting your simple one page blog website – people who share an interest in the subject matter – then it is only a very small step to turning those visitors into paying customers. You can do it through affiliate links, joint ventures, Google adsense, links to your eBay listing and many other ways I’ll show you.
