Twitter

I`ve been fiddling about with Twitter this morning, trying to put it onto all my blogs, facebook, myspace and so forth. I`ve been neglecting my blogs a bit lately so I`ve been trying to get them up to scratch. Twitter seems like a good thing cos I can update all my blogs in one go. Pretty good!
I`ve also been loading onto You Tube. If anyone is interested my twitter username is 'theleatherdiary'.

Check up at hospital for Dolly `s broken arm

We went for a check up at Alder Hey today for Dolly `s arm. It was quite traumatic as she screamed the place down when they tried to x-ray it (ear piercingly loud). Finally, we got it x-rayed and then the doctor had a look at it. its healing well and we go back in two weeks to get the pins taken out (not in theater but just in the clinic). There will be screams then!. The nurse then took off the tatty sling and put a nice neck collar and foam sling on. Much nicer for her. She also put one on molly so Dolly wouldn`t feel scared. Glad its over cos it was a bit of an ordeal.

Good Morning! Today is a new day and its the day when I`ve got to start being more positive and get on with my life. I can't t let an emotionless, empty headed ratbag like T spoil my life. I`ve got to get a grip. Springs round the corner and its a time for new beginnings.
Namaste to all.

Ps. I`ve got the two sweetest little girls in the world to cheer me up

Creepy Clown Video

Twitter

Not much happening today. Sold a camcorder on Ebay - didnt get quite what I wanted for it, but never mind! Just been fiddling about on the net really. Need to get to grip with some work for my holistic courses - I`ve got homework for reiki and for aromatherapy - must get stuck in tomorrow.
Havent really been able to get out what with Dolly having her arm in a cast. Still - its too cold and miserable to go out anyway.
Just signed up with twitter and trying to work out what you do and whats it about. Sure I`ll get to grips with it soon.

Evie has a broken arm!

I cant believe the luck I`m having lately - and its not good! The latest thing to happen is Evie breaking her poor arm. There we were, Mum and I ,at a funeral, quite some miles from where we live - then just as they were bringing the coffin into the chapel, I felt a buzzing in my pocket. Yes - it was dolly`s school saying she`d had an accident in the classroom and could I come straight away. Well we couldn`t come immediately being miles away and in someone else`s car, so we had to wait for some time before I got to the hospital where poor Evie had been taken.

Not only was her arm broken, but it was a bad, bad break and she had to stay in and have an operation that day (her 11th operation I calculated). Shes had pins inserted which will need to come out in a month. So now she`s off school and in a lot of pain. Poor, poor Evie. My heart goes out to her as she goes through so much!

RIP John Martyn - died 29th January 2009

Tribute to John Martyn

Singer/songwriter | Died in 2009 (one of my favourite ever performers and beautiful songwriter) RIP John.

Folk singer-songwriter John Martyn OBE died on 29 January, 2009, aged 60.
He was widely regarded as one of the most soulful and innovative singer-songwriters of his generation.
His music was an amalgamation of blues, folk, dub and funk - and is said to have influenced artists such as U2, Portishead and Eric Clapton.
John Martyn was born Iain David McGeachy on 11 September 1948 in New Malden, Surrey, the only son of two light opera singers. John's parents separated and his early childhood was spent in Glasgow.
When he started playing he soon became a fixture at Les Cousins, a Soho club at the centre of London's folk scene, which also launched the careers of Ralph McTell, Bert Jansch and Al Stewart.
He released 20 studio albums over a 40-year period, working with artists such as Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, and Phil Collins.

Good Bye Slimming World Hello Paul McKenna

Slimming World is just not working for me! I dont know why cos it works for loads of people but I`m giving up on it. But I`ve got the Paul McKenna weight loss system so I`m going with that now to see if I get better results - but Slimming World - I`m throwing money down the drain.

I feel so fat and despondant though. Single at 51 and fat! And my face isnt looking too good either.
I need to get a grip.
