My painting class in going well, acrylics taught by local artist,Steve Strode. will load up some of the attempts I've made at painting when I get a chance.
Guitar class also going well. Improving slowly but surely, great fun and lovely people in both classes.

Last day of January

This has been a long, hard winter. Will be so glad when its over, but thankfully its the last day of Ja nuary - roll of February and the spring. Lets hope 2011 is going to be a goodun xxx

Been neglecting this blog

Yup - been reglecting this blog, caught up in the world of Twitter and Facebook. Really must load up some photos, its looking a bit forlorn here. Anyway, belated welcome to 2010 (gosh its nearly over). Gonna be here more often, honest!

Build-a-bear

Today we`ve been to the Build-a-bear shop in Liverpool one so that teenage son could buy some bears for the twins birthday. Dolly got a nice bunny one with lovely long ears (called it Miley) and Molly got a pinkish bear with hearts on it (called it Cherry). Haven`t got outfits yet for these bears (so expensive) and these are the third bears they`ve got. They also got a brown one each for their birthdays off a friend - although we know someone who can make outfits a bit cheaper. What a good money spinner this build-a -bear thing is. Wish I`d thought of it!
Had a nice day wandering round Liverpool One then we all came home for tea and had nice chicken casserole and cake - plus a big glass of chardonnay.
Tomorrow - out for a meal probably and maybe a visit to the hairdressers. Badly needed!

EFT course

Ankle all better now! Back on my feet. Now I`m back to all my courses - Aromatherapy Monday, Reiki Friday and now EFT Thursday (thats emotional freedom course if you dont know). Anyway, the EFT course is good. The tutor is called Ian and he seems knowledgeable about all things metaphyscial/ we started tapping today. Tap tap tap on all the acupressure points.
Started looking up on the net about EFT and Emo Trance, which were also supposed to be looking at. Theres quite a lot about it, considering its only been around since about 1997

Sprained ankle

The girls are home now and I feel a bit better about things - not much but a little.
I`m still getting over a sprained ankle. I fell down the stairs in the HMV shop last Thursday (a week today) and I badly sprained my ankle. I could hardly stand up and hobbled round all day and as it didnt feel much better I ended up going to casualty with mum to get it checked out. At least it wasnt broken but it was swollen to twice its size. Painful! The swellings starting to go down now but its still sore and bruised and hurts me when I walk. Honestly - I could do without it at the moment.

Bad weekend

It was a terrible weekend. T took the kids for the first time in the 9 months since we split and without asking, to stay with some women in Wales. Cheeky bastard! I didnt sleep a wink all weekend, sick with worry and rage. He is one cheeky, horrible bastard. Given that he abused them when he lived at home, its all a terrible worry.
So relieved that they`re home now, but cant get rid of this stressed feeling. Am still hurt and upset.
How dare he take my babies to stay with some trollop from the Internet. Cant believe how horrible he turned out to be. After 11 years you'd think you would know someone. Obviously not........

Happy Easter Monday

Good morning on this rather dull easter monday. Its cold and cloudy and miserable but hope it brightens up later. what am I doing today? Dont know yet, but dont suppose it will be very exciting.
I`m trying to avoid the chocolate today anyway - I had quite enough of that yesterday.

I cant believe it is was son`s 18th yesterday. Where does the time go?
We had some relatives round in the day time and did the present opening ritual. the in the night time we went to a local Italian Resaurant, which was lovely. The staff were very friendly and they even played happy birthday and brought him a lemony thing with a candle in it and a face (named Eugene by son - he even came home with us). Then when we got home we opened a bottle of champers and brough in the cake. Havent cut the cake yet as we will use it on Saturday if he has a party.

Julia's 40th birthday party

I went to an old friends 40th birthday at the weekend - the sister of my close friend who died over 10 years ago when we were both 40. It was nice to see some old faces and have a dance and - well - just get out! Was exhausted when I got in though. its so tiring having to get the kids ready as well as yourself and then keep an eye on them all night. Especially with Evie having a broken arm at the moment. But worth the effort. Should I really be this tired all of the time?

Let down by Ebay again

I cant believe it! I`ve been let down by yet another Ebay Buyer. I`m trying to sell a camcorder and this is the second time someone has won the item and then disappeared from Ebay (no longer registered) WHY? Whats the point of bidding and then leaving ebay. I`m so annoyed cos it means I`m going to have to relist it again!

Twitter

I`ve been fiddling about with Twitter this morning, trying to put it onto all my blogs, facebook, myspace and so forth. I`ve been neglecting my blogs a bit lately so I`ve been trying to get them up to scratch. Twitter seems like a good thing cos I can update all my blogs in one go. Pretty good!
I`ve also been loading onto You Tube. If anyone is interested my twitter username is 'theleatherdiary'.

Check up at hospital for Dolly `s broken arm

We went for a check up at Alder Hey today for Dolly `s arm. It was quite traumatic as she screamed the place down when they tried to x-ray it (ear piercingly loud). Finally, we got it x-rayed and then the doctor had a look at it. its healing well and we go back in two weeks to get the pins taken out (not in theater but just in the clinic). There will be screams then!. The nurse then took off the tatty sling and put a nice neck collar and foam sling on. Much nicer for her. She also put one on molly so Dolly wouldn`t feel scared. Glad its over cos it was a bit of an ordeal.
